The assistant everyone uses can't see your contracts
Your company rolled out an AI assistant. Everyone uses it. Then someone asks which contracts auto-renew next quarter, and it draws a blank, because your contracts live somewhere it can't reach.
So the old ritual starts. Export a spreadsheet, paste it into the chat, hope nothing changed since lunch. The data is stale the second it lands, it's now sitting in a chat log, and the assistant only knows the slice you handed it.
AI without enterprise context is a very confident intern with no access to the files. And your contracts are some of the most valuable context your business owns: every supplier commitment, renewal date, price term and obligation you've signed.
Terzo now speaks MCP
Terzo customers can now connect Claude directly to their Terzo tenant. The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard for plugging AI assistants into business systems. Think of it as a USB-C port for AI.
Ask Claude, "How many ServiceNow contracts renew before March, and what's the total value?" It goes straight to Terzo, searches your contracts, resolves the supplier and lets the database do the math. The number is computed, not guessed.
Need the termination clause and its notice period? Claude pulls the contract and reads it. Under the hood, it has a focused set of read-only capabilities:
Structured contract search across your Terzo data
Server-side totals, calculated in the database rather than estimated by the model
Supplier resolution, so the supplier name you type maps to the right records
Clause search by meaning, not just keywords
Full document reads when the answer lives in the contract text
The before and after is simple. Before: export a spreadsheet and paste a stale slice into a chat window. After: ask Claude and get a live, permission-scoped answer straight from Terzo, with nothing copied out.
Contract answers where your teams already work
Legal, finance, procurement and sourcing can ask questions in Claude, the assistant their company has already standardized on, instead of logging into another tool or waiting on an analyst.
Team | What they ask Claude | Capability behind it |
Finance | "What's the total value of contracts renewing this quarter?" | Server-side totals |
Procurement & Sourcing | "Which supplier agreements auto-renew in the next 90 days?" | Contract search, supplier resolution |
Legal | "Which contracts have a termination-for-convenience clause, and what's the notice period?" | Clause search by meaning, document reads |
IT & Security | "Can people see records they shouldn't?" (They can't.) | User-level permissions, read-only access |
The result: structured contract data stops being the property of whoever knows how to run a report. It becomes part of every conversation about suppliers, renewals and risk.
Governed by default, no IT project required
Contract data is high-value and high-risk, so the connection is built to keep both in check:
Your permissions, nobody else's. Every query runs under the user's own row-level Terzo permissions. Never another user's records, never another company's.
Read-only. Claude can search and read. It can't change or delete anything.
Live data, zero copies. Claude asks Terzo directly, so answers are current and no export leaves the platform or sits in a chat log.
Numbers you can trust. Totals are calculated in the database, not estimated by the model.
Setup takes minutes. Your Claude admin adds the Terzo connector once. Each user signs in with their normal Terzo login. No API keys, no client IDs.
The Terzo MCP connector is available for accounts with NirvanAI enabled, with Claude as the first supported assistant.
Give your AI the context it's been missing
Remember that question about auto-renewals next quarter? Now it gets a real answer: live, accurate and limited to what you're allowed to see. No spreadsheet, no copy-paste, no stale data sitting in a chat log.
That's the shift. The AI assistant your teams already use becomes the place they get contract answers. The systems that win in this new estate are the ones that feed it governed context, and your contracts are some of the most valuable context you have.
Your contracts have a lot to say. Now your AI can hear them.
